Who we are
At ATLAS, we’re a passionate team, dedicated to making particle physics accessible to everyone. Born from a love for science and education, our startup aims to achieve €500,000 in revenue by 2030 by creating affordable, hands-on tools like the Skywatcher (€150). Our mission is to empower the next generation of scientists—students, educators, and hobbyists—through innovative devices that bring cosmic rays and muons into the classroom. With support from partners, we’re building a community that inspires curiosity and discovery.
VARAD PURANDARE
A vital team member who manages daily operations, provides strategic guidance, and handles assisting tasks. Varad ensures efficient progress toward the Skywatcher launch on November 15, 2025, and shapes the company’s long-term strategy.
ATHARVA DESHMUKH
A 17-year-old physics enthusiast from Kaiserin-Friedrich-Gymnasium (KFG), leading the ATLAS Initiative with a vision. As Founder, Atharva spearheads the Skywatcher project and drives the ATLAS Initiative Outreach Program (AIOS), with workshops starting September 2025.
